I wrote this song about an on again/off again relationship that spanned many years from NYC to the SF Bay Area to Nashville with someone that was never available. When he finally was single, we tried to see what might actually be there to make it work and he ran away. I had started it on my own musically and lyrically, and finished it with Nashville hit songwriter Kostas at our first songwriting meeting.
